Bulletin on How Nonprofits Can Apply for Stimulus Package Funding Available Starting Today

WHAT: A free special bulletin, The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009: Act Appropriations Beneficial to the Nonprofit Sector and Key Resources for Organizations to Approach and Access Funding Sources

WHO: Written and researched by the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University and published in conjunction with Giving USA Foundation

WHEN: Available starting today, April 27, 2009

WHERE: At the Web sites of both organizations, GivingUSA.org and www.philanthropy.iupui.edu.

WHY: This Bulletin provides timely information on how charitable and philanthropic organizations can apply for funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, also known as the stimulus package.

The passage of the Act offers nonprofit organizations opportunities to acquire desperately needed funding relief to sustain current programs and to access novel forms of funding to implement new and innovative programs. There is a sense of urgency, however, as deadlines for applying for grants under the Act are approaching.
