The Fund Raising School, an international leader in fundraising training and professional development, and the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University, a nationally ranked leader in nonprofit management education, are pleased to offer in partnership the Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership program.

Certificate Description

Through a unique collaboration, this innovative and affordable continuing education program will help you meet your professional goals. This certificate is designed for mid-level and upper-level nonprofit leaders and those aspiring to leadership positions in the nonprofit sector. The certificate requires completion of 4 continuing education courses. These non-credit courses can be taken in-person in Indianapolis, IN or online. All courses in Indianapolis are two consecutive days. All online courses are 4 weeks. The schedule of dates for Indianapolis and Online courses is listed below:

The Kresge Foundation provided funding for these online courses as part of its commitment to building the capacity and leadership of the nonprofit sector. Certificate seekers may take both in-person and online courses to fulfill their requirements.

Upon completion of all four courses, participants will receive the Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from The Center on Philanthropy and The School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. There is no time limit for completion of coursework and participants do not have to apply for admission to the university.

Facilitators: Course facilitators are members of the faculty of the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University with expertise in nonprofit management as well as practitioner experience in the field. A variety of instructional methods will be used to provide engaging, practice-oriented learning experiences focused on knowledge, tools, and techniques you can immediately implement at your organization.

Location

All in-person courses will be held on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis (IUPUI) in downtown Indianapolis. Many convenient, local hotel accommodations are available on and off campus. All online courses will be conducted within the Blackboard Learning Management System accessible via the Internet.
