Lake Institute Public Programs

In addition to the variety of customized training programs offered by Lake Institute, we have two annual public programs. These programs foster greater understanding of the ways in which faith inspires and informs giving. They provide an educational forum that engages the general public, faith leaders, and scholars.

THE ANNUAL THOMAS H. LAKE LECTURE

A noted scholar is invited each year to give a public address on a topic related to faith and giving. The lecture includes a question & answer session and an opportunity to interact with the speaker. All lectures are published by the Lake Institute and may be purchased online. Learn more

LAKE DISTINGUISHED VISITOR PROGRAM

The purpose of this program is to build bridges of cooperation and learning with both the IU campus and the greater Indianapolis community by hosting distinguished scholars and practitioners in the field of philanthropy. Visitors offer public lectures and share their research expertise relative to faith and giving. They share their professional insights and personal stories with community constituents to ultimately spark transformational giving, to foster the imagination of local civic leaders and to give birth to the next generation of visionary donors.
