We welcomed Dr. Brad Braxton and Rev. Starsky Wilson, who spoke about “Race Matters: Faith & Philanthropy in the African American Community” as part of a joint Lake Institute and Mays Institute program.
October was the occasion for a terrific Board of Visitors meeting, as we were joined by the Alumni Board and several guests.
We surged into September with our expanded core faculty and our largest headcount of total students to date, including all our programs together.
August was a season of reflection and planning retreats for the university, campus, and school as we enter our school’s 31st year, begin the 50th year for IUPUI, and look forward to IU’s 200th anniversary in 2020.
New initiatives and new beginnings were on the schedule for July.
We began the month with a Global Philanthropy Environment Index workshop with expert contributors from across Europe at the IU Berlin Gateway.
The main event for the month—also the culmination of our academic year—was our sixth commencement as a school.
