The Lilly Family School of Philanthropy is proud to offer members of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners a scholarship to pursue our graduate degree programs.

With this scholarship, Indiana residents will save $250 per class and non-residents will save $500 per class.

Our graduate certificate and master’s degree can be completed entirely online. However, we also offer classes on campus one night per week and in a hybrid format in the summer, requiring one week on campus.

Students can begin our certificate program without taking the GRE and those who have at least five years of work experience in the field or who earn a 3.5 or higher GPA in the certificate program will receive a waiver of the GRE for the master’s program.

Make a master's degree a reality

The IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy brings together an understanding of how philanthropy works, why people give, and how to effectively lead in the nonprofit sector. We draw on decades of expertise and international leadership in philanthropic research, education, practice and training. Our alumni, just like you, go to work every day to make a difference—and what a difference they make!

Did you happen into your nonprofit work without a formal education in the field? Our master's degree allows professional and executives already working in the philanthropy to gain a deeper understanding of the social, cultural, political, and economic roles played by philanthropy and nonprofit organizations.

The Lilly Family School of Philanthropy provides a variety of courses, degrees, and certifications that can help you continue to build the skills you need.
