Did you know you can complete a graduate degree from the world's first school of philanthropy from anywhere in the world? Our 12-course graduate degree (Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies) can be completed online or on our campus in Indianapolis, Indiana.
In addition, we offer a 4-course graduate certificate online. The graduate certificate includes four courses that can be applied to our Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies. Our in-person and online programs let you earn the degree you want, from anywhere in the world.

Doctoral program
Our doctoral program trains future scholars and professionals in conducting original research on philanthropy and related topics. The Ph.D. program engages both humanities and social science theory to prepare you to make an original contribution to the field.
Doctoral students have examined a wide range of topics including the history of philanthropy, why people give, strategic grantmaking, the role of nonprofits in policy, the effectiveness of foundations and faith-based initiatives, and the role of social movements in a global society.
