The National Museum of American History has embarked on a long-term project to collect, research, document, and exhibit materials relating to the history and impact of giving in America and the role of Americans in encouraging and using philanthropy throughout the world.
Join us for a presentation by the acting curator Bonnie Campbell Lilienfeld, Assistant Director for Curatorial Affairs and her colleague David Allison, Associate Director for Curatorial Affairs as they describe the project and recruit for an endowed curator position.
The curator will primarily be responsible for building and maintaining a collection of artifacts related to the history of philanthropy, research that will result in publications and in ongoing updates to the permanent exhibition, contributing to related programs, and working throughout the Museum and with outside partners to support the overall initiative.
Giving in America is scheduled to open on Giving Tuesday, November 29, 2016.
