Major gift donors are crucial for the ongoing sustainability of your nonprofit’s mission. In fact, high net worth donors often provide as much as 94 percent of the campaign funds for nonprofit campaigns. Join us as we examine the latest data on America’s wealthiest donors and how you can use this data to structure your major and planned gift program.
The 2016 U.S. Trust® Study of High Net Worth Philanthropy, just released in October, examines the giving patterns, priorities, and attitudes of America’s high net worth households. This sixth edition of the biennial study, researched by the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, provides nonprofits with valuable insights into the giving preferences and motivations for major gift prospects. For the first time, the study includes deeper analysis based on age, gender, sexual orientation, and race.
