IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IUPUI is creating a new digital resource, The Equitable Giving Lab, that will bring an equity lens to philanthropy by measuring funding for under-resourced groups. The Equitable Giving Lab will address the current lack of centralized data on charitable giving to diverse communities and is made possible through anchor funding from Google.org.

Luis A. Miranda, Jr., will speak Thurs., Dec. 1 at a virtual event, “Philanthropy and Hispanics: Building Community and Social Impact through Public Affairs and the Arts.” The conversation with Miranda is hosted by the Mays Family Institute on Diverse Philanthropy, part of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IUPUI.

Presbyterian College, known as “America’s Innovative Service College, and the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy are announcing a new partnership. It will give PC graduates a special opportunity to pursue an education at the school. The two also will deliver a professional development opportunity for leaders of all faith communities in the southeast region of the U.S. in 2023.

Leaders from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy participated in the inaugural Faith & Philanthropy Summit at the Vatican Oct. 14-15, 2022, including speaking at the summit and assisting with planning aspects of the global gathering. The summit brought together 145 leading philanthropists from five different faiths who pledged to join forces across faith lines to solve some of the world's most pressing challenges. Jeff Bezos and Laura Turner Seydel were among the participating philanthropists.

The Women’s Philanthropy Institute today launched the inaugural Give to Women and Girls Day to increase philanthropic support for women’s and girls’ organizations. Prompted by the latest Women & Girls Index research, Give to Women and Girls Day is a landmark moment bringing together hundreds of women’s and girls’ organizations to raise awareness and galvanize support for women and girls.
