Cathy Bastin is associate director for The Fund Raising School (TFRS) at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, focusing on curriculum design and faculty development, as well as serving as a member of TFRS faculty. She joined IU in January 2013. Previously she served as the executive director of Hendricks College Network, a 501(c)3 learning network in Hendricks County. Cathy also has career experience in college admissions, grant proposal writing and grant management, solid waste and recycling program management, newspaper writing, and classroom instruction ranging from elementary school through college.

She is a graduate and past board member of Leadership Hendricks County, and currently serves on the development committee. Cathy also served on the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Ball State University’s Advisory Board, and has participated in several other state, university, and local groups and organizations. Cathy is active with American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, United Way, and Outrun the Sun Race Against Melanoma. She is a member of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, Association of Talent Development, and also serves on the Indiana Nonprofit Summit planning committee.
