Biography
Carol D’Amico is a nationally recognized expert in designing and leading strategies related to higher education, workforce development, and business-led involvement in education reform.
Most recently D'Amico served as an executive vice president of Strada Education Network overseeing the organization's national and state-based philanthropic initiatives involving the higher education, business, and workforce development sectors. D’Amico served in the U.S. Department of Education as assistant secretary for adult and vocational education from 2001-2003. While serving as a senior fellow in education and co-director of the Center for Workforce Development at the Hudson Institute, she co-wrote “Workforce 2020.”
D’Amico serves on the board of directors of WGU's Advancement and Invested Indiana. D'Amico holds a doctoral degree in educational leadership and policy studies and a master’s degree in adult education and organizational development from Indiana University.
