Dr. Carol D’Amico is executive vice president of Strada Education Network (Formerly USA Funds). Carol is a nationally recognized expert in designing and leading strategies related to higher education, workforce development, and business-led involvement in education reform.
As Strada Education Network’s executive vice president, Mission Advancement and Philanthropy, D’Amico plays a key role in developing national and state-based philanthropic initiatives involving the higher education, business and workforce development sectors.
D’Amico served in the U.S. Department of Education as assistant secretary for adult and vocational education from 2001-2003. While serving as a senior fellow in education and co-director of the Center for Workforce Development at the Hudson Institute, she co-wrote “Workforce 2020.”
She serves on The U.S. Conference of Mayors Business Council and the boards of the Indiana Secondary Market, Indy Chamber and Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee. She is a past member of the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.
D’Amico holds a doctoral degree in educational leadership and policy studies and a master’s degree in adult education and organizational development from Indiana University.
