Tony Hulman George is Chairman of the Board of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) and Hulman & Company. Along with his wife, Laura, Tony is Principal of Vision Investments, the parent company of SONAX USA and AutoGeek. He is also co-owner of Ed Carpenter Racing.
During his time as President and CEO of IMS, Tony oversaw a number of initiatives to preserve and enhance the hundred-year-old facility, diversified the IMS schedule by bringing NASCAR, Formula One and MotoGP events, and led the charge to develop groundbreaking safety innovations such as the SAFER barrier.
Tony has been the recipient of some of the state’s most prestigious honors, including Sagamore of the Wabash and International Citizen of the Year, and holds an honorary doctorate from the Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. Tony currently serves on a number of corporate and nonprofit boards, including the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Foundation, Riley Children’s Fund, Rose Hulman Institute of Technology, Vectren Corporation, and First Financial Bank of Terre Haute.
