Erdal Yildirim (M.A.’05) is the chief governance officer (CGO) at the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation in Istanbul. He previously served as president of the Vehbi Koç Foundation and has taught courses on the third sector and nonprofit management at Koç University, Bilgi University, and Boğaziçi University.

His latest book on Turkish Foundations was published in December 2016. In 2014, Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie presented Erdal with the Thomas Hart Benton Mural Medallion for Distinguished Achievement for exceptional achievement that reflects the most central values and principles of Indiana University.
