The IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy Research Department is searching for an excellent scholar who will thrive in our collegial community, engage in building the field of philanthropic studies, and demonstrate an interest in engaging in our research. The position is a full time (40-hour week), benefit eligible research position. The incumbent will be responsible for researching and developing research proposals, reports, collecting, organizing, interpreting, and summarizing data to provide useful information related to specific research projects in philanthropy. This position will be responsible for assigned projects as they become available in the research department. Projects could be for a variety of different types of clients, including foundations, corporations, nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, associations, or others interested in the philanthropic sector. The potential research topics vary and could include individual philanthropic behavior, foundation grant making, nonprofit management, public policy, and many other issues related to philanthropy.
