Biography

Dr. Amanda Koch earned her master’s degree in history at IUPUI. She completed her Ph.D. in history at IU Bloomington in 2017. Her research interests include nineteenth and twentieth-century US history, especially the study of religion, philanthropy, social reform, poverty, and gender roles. Her dissertation explored how evangelical Christians created gospel rescue missions to evangelize and serve the homeless poor in cities across the nation.
